Your ideal dog starts with the basics
A well-trained dog is a joy to be around. You can take them places without worry, they don’t jump on the neighbours, they come when called, and they not only listen when you ask them to do something they actually do it.
But dogs aren’t born knowing what it takes to be a calm, well-mannered member of the family. They have to be taught. And Woofers’ Basic Obedience Class is a great place to start.
Our relaxed, small group classes will help you communicate with your dog in a way that leads to the good behaviours you’ve always wanted.
Over the course of five short weeks, you’ll be amazed at how much your dog learns, including:
- Sit stay
- Drop stay
- Stand
- Loose leash walking
- Recall (aka “Come When Called”)
- Food refusal and manners
- Focus and engagement under distraction

All students are required to attend a theory session (online & interactive) held on a Monday night. 6 pm – 7.30 pm prior to commencing the practical group classes.

Our small group classes mean you get plenty of one on one attention to help with any issues you may be having.
The varied curriculum full of practical exercises provides a solid foundation of skills and a genuine enjoyment of learning.
Outdoor group classes are held every weekend in our training grounds adjacent to Caulfield Park.
The best parking is on Redan Road. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before class starts.
