Elwood’s off-leash rules change with the seasons, and a local walker knows the difference. From April to October, the beach is off-leash around the clock. From November to March, the sand is restricted to early mornings on the northern end near Point Ormond, so summer walks shift inland. We work with that, not against it: a beach run along the foreshore when the season allows, the Elwood Canal and Elster Creek path on busy summer days, or the fenced M.O. Moran Reserve for dogs whose recall is still a work in progress. Our private dog walks are matched to your dog’s pace, energy and the day in front of us.
